A little bit of info about each bean in this pack:

El Salvador

This coffee mill and farm has a stunning view of the Pacific Ocean from 1, 450 metres above sea level. The mill and farms were brought back to life after years of hardship. The heirloom varieties now produce award-winning coffee, and the neighbouring community has renewed strength.

Colombia

The Caldas and Risaralda are very diverse regions, both climatically and geographically. Located in the volcanic area of the central main range (Cordillera) of Colombia between the two main rivers, this coffee has a very special aroma and flavour that is consistent and balanced. This bean is the product of a small group of farmers who are proud to give the world an unforgettable coffee.

This coffee is a peaberry which makes it even more unique. A rare occurrence in about 5% of coffee fruits where only one of the two seeds is fertilized. This results in a smaller oval bean that is considered vastly superior to normal-shaped beans. This difference, a single bean growing in a fruit instead of two, results in a more bright, complex, aromatic, and light-bodied profile.

Brazil

In 1912, an Italian descendant arrived in Brazil to work on coffee plantations. She worked many years in the field seeking the best alternatives to produce good coffees. Her children dedicated their lives to their mother’s coffee business, and so, for five generations, the traditional dream and passion story of their family lives on. Together, their properties amount to 850 hectares and are highlighted in competitions, awarded for quality, and praised for actions towards sustainability and environmental awareness. This Rain Forest Alliance coffee is processed in a special manner unlike most. The beans are left to dry in the mucilage of the coffee cherry, absorbing the sweetness of the berry, and gaining a special honey characteristic.
